YVO reviews the diagnostic information your practice submits and develops the orthodontic diagnosis for the case. That diagnosis is what the treatment goals and the plan are then built from, rather than an impression formed after a setup already exists.

The review is made from the submitted records. YVO does not examine the patient — you do, in your practice.

• An intraoral scan
• A panoramic radiograph or full-mouth series
• Your clinical information and treatment goals for the patient
• Anything else the case calls for, requested as part of the submission

From the diagnosis, YVO develops the treatment goals and the orthodontic treatment plan: the clinical considerations that matter for this patient, the limitations worth knowing about before treatment starts, and the clinical protocols prescribed to guide the aligner setup.

This happens BEFORE a manufacturer setup is treated as the direction of travel. The plan is what the setup is built to.

The digital aligner setup is guided by the orthodontist's treatment plan and prescribed clinical protocols. Once the manufacturer creates the setup, YVO reviews it against the orthodontic diagnosis and treatment objectives, requesting modifications as needed so the final setup reflects the intended orthodontic plan before the case proceeds to manufacturing.

The same review applies whichever supported system the case is treated with.

The treatment plan drives the setup, not the other way around.

When a refinement is submitted, YVO evaluates treatment progress using the current submitted records, identifies the remaining orthodontic objectives, and develops the refinement treatment plan for the next series of aligners. This includes determining any adjustments needed to continue working toward the treatment goals and reassessing treatment limitations that may affect the achievable final outcome.

The manufacturer creates the new digital setup based on the refinement plan and prescribed clinical protocols. YVO reviews the setup against the updated treatment objectives and requests modifications as needed before the additional aligners proceed to manufacturing.

Orthodontic guidance throughout treatment when questions or challenges arise. YVO works directly with the treating dentist to provide case-specific recommendations, while the dentist remains the primary point of contact for the patient.
